A Friendly Community Coffee Shop
The Spire Coffee Shop offers 15 to 20 kinds of homemade cakes, teacakes and other treats, as well as a wide range of made to order sandwiches and light hot meals — all at very reasonable prices and all served in a friendly, community atmosphere.
About three quarters of our customers are not church-goers and our regulars include people from all around Leighton Buzzard, Linslade and the local villages, as well as from further afield, including Luton and Dunstable.
The Spire Coffee Shop was set up in 1989, at the same time as the refurbishment of the Church following the fire in 1985. It is organised, managed and staffed entirely by volunteers.
The Spire Coffee Shop is open:
10am - 2pm
Tuesday and Friday
The Coffee Shop will close at 2pm on Saturday 10th August for the Summer break and reopen on Tuesday 3rd September 10am. It is however, with regret, that the management have concluded that as from September, the Coffee Shop will no longer open on a Saturday. Although we are often short of helpers, it is the fact that we have no managers to cover this day, which has caused us to make this decision. If the situation should change in the future, we shall certainly make every effort to re-open Saturdays. In the meantime, Tuesdays and Fridays will operate as usual from September.
