A Festival of Faith and Hope

Last year - as we emerged from lockdown - our Rector started the festival of faith and hope. It was conceived as a time where the church could re-welcome re-think and re-imagine the life that it plays here in Leighton Buzzard. This year the task continues.

All Saints continues to welcome everyone to a festival of faith and hope. We find ourselves in a world more in need than ever of warmth and welcome, so come and join us in poetry, music, faith, silliness, joy, and a chance to connect as we meet together over the weekend.

8pm - An Evening of Musical Delight

We begin our festival of faith and hope with an evening of classical music. There will be a wide selection of musical treats to delight and entertain you. Refreshments available to buy.

11am - The Theatre of Worship

A conversation between a vicar and a theatre maker about words, drama and worship.

12pm - In Tune with Heaven
A discussion of the part that music plays in our life of faith.  A range of panelists talk about what music means to them and help us to explore its importance in our life of faith.

2pm - Crafting Faith and Hope
We know that craft can be good for our wellbeing and can bring people together. In this talk Mother Cate will pick up on these things and explore the connections between craft and faith.

3pm - Theology not in the Pub
A few of us meet occasionally the pub to talk about God. The idea was to make a space where we could ask the difficult questions share our doubts and our joys, but most of all a space to talk about God and faith. This will be a chance to join in some of those conversations so bring your thoughts and come along.

4pm - Making our Prayers

A hands on session with Mother Cate & Mother Kirsty and an opportunity to explore some guided prayer activities. Have a go at making your own rosary or explore how we use our body and breath in prayer or just take some time to use the prayer spaces in church and outside.

5pm - Open mic

Ever wanted to perform in an historic medieval building? This is your chance! Music & poetry welcome.
